Top 4 Metaverse Analytics To Grow Your World

8/30/2022

As Metaverse worlds persist through research and development, tools to ensure their success will be required to measure the performance of a world and find growth opportunities. Metaverse analytics are a way in which creators can see how users interact in their world. Similar to social media analytics, engagement is key to measure the quality of a world or platform. With that, we can use social media as an existing medium to get an idea of what analytics might be useful in the metaverse.

  1. Time Spent in World: Successful YouTube channels typically have a high watch time. Similarly, a successful metaverse world will have a high engagement time. On YouTube, high watch time is critical for YouTubers to attract advertisers, as no company would want to advertise on a timestamp that gets little to no views. Similarly, Metaverse worlds with high engagement time also have a higher chance of users spending more in their worlds. As worlds plug in NFT API capabilities, the world will be able to leverage the new marketplace to sell unique products for users in their world, possibly allowing worlds to adopt brand loyalty.
  2. Average User Count: This metric is used in just about every form of technology, from Instagram followers to monthly listeners on Spotify. Similarly, Metaverse worlds may want to take advantage of knowing their average user rate, but also displaying this for potential users to see. As worlds begin to grow and grow, a cascade effect is likely to occur where popular worlds stay popular due to their popularity.
  3. Dollar per User: This metric will be very important for companies and creators to monitor commerce in their world. World economies will develop as users generate their own marketplace content and/or worlds develop their unique NFT lines. When pursuing this, it is important to see if the product you are minting is actually attractive to the users that visit your world. This will allow creators to understand the economy of their world and what products are selling. Using this metric will increase your marketing efforts.
  4. Recurring Users: This metric is the bread and butter of creating brand loyalty and growing a world. Recurring users are important for determining how you compete against your competitors. Within a certain market, recurring users may be unique to one world and not cross spend on other platforms. On top of that, recurring users allow a creator to focus on growth rather than retention. Having a strong recurring user base will allow for high spending in a world and increase brand loyalty. In fact, creators may take advantage of their brand loyalty and market it on products that users can use across other worlds, attracting more users to their world for commerce.
As you approach creating a world, finding a platform that will track your world’s analytics are crucial for growth. Liveplex’s Metaworld API Library allows creators to capitalize on predictive analytics to measure the growth of their world and show where to allocate resources.
